Toffees boss Sam Allardyce addressed the media during his pre-match press conference, ahead of his side’s home game against Swansea City on Monday night, and shared his desire to add another left-back to his squad in January, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.
Everton have really turned things around since Big Sam’s appointment as manager last month, taking 10 points form their last four games, and they now find themselves sitting in 10th position in the table.
The Merseyside outfit are now in a position from which they can realistically mount a sustained challenge for the top seven, and with Allardyce at the helm, it would take a brave man to bet against them doing just that.

The 63-year-old addressed the media during his post-match press conference yesterday, and opened up on his desire to add another left-back to his squad in January, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo:
“It’s [Cuco Martina’s form] obviously made the need for a full back less desperate, there’s no doubt about that. But, it isn’t his natural position, so I feel that he’s filling in and doing an exceptional job. When Leighton comes back we only really have one recognised and registered left-back in the squad. That might be an area I’ll want to consider strengthening if that’s at all possible in the January window.”
A win over the Swans on Monday night could take the Blues up to ninth in the table, and if they replicate their recent form, they have every chance of doing just that.
